The coating systems we have assimilated into our company address many different needs that we have encountered over the years. When looking for coatings that could handle commercial traffic and abuse, we located one that is highly sought after and fits this need. We found coatings that are extremely heat resistant. Safety
Coatings can range from smooth to highly textured. We offer the full range of textures and work with our clients to select the texture that will fit their needs and will be maintainable over time. It would be nice to have a floor that is 100% traction safe and easy to clean, but these are really two different ends of the spectrum. Thus it’s hard to attain the highest level of both simultaneously. So, we collaborate to find a happy medium between the two, taking into consideration several factors.
Another safety benefit is that coatings are non-permeable, thus they will not allow for the growth of bacteria, which can negatively affect air quality and health standards. This is very desirable in certain locations and facilities.
Warranty
The warranties vary by product. Some coatings come with 1, 2 and 3 year on up to 10+ year warranties. We will work with you to find the best product for your long term needs.
Low Maintenance
Sealed and polished concrete is one of the easiest floors to clean and maintain. We offer consultation and training with our clients after the project is complete to help them be equipped to handle daily maintenance.
Durability
Jay Dee Inc. offers a wide range of solutions. We offer coatings that can handle foot traffic, all the way up to heavy forklift traffic. Some systems are considered two to three year floors, others withstand ten to fifteen years of abuse. We consult with our clients to customize the needs of the facility/client with their budget needs.

We provide cleaning, dustproofing and sealing of concrete.
Dustproofing is another term for densification of the concrete, making the surface harder, less susceptible to damage and gives concrete the ability to receive a polish.
We also offer vapor barriers over concrete. This type of coating retards moisture transmission through concrete, allowing non breathable surfaces to be installed on top of the barrier. With a barrier installed, such surfaces will not buckle or become damaged due to moisture vapor transmission.
Finally, we provide coatings over concrete. These range from decorative to protective to industrial for all types of flooring needs and uses.
Safety
Sealants and polishing can enhance the slip resistance of concrete, making it safer. However, higher polish levels, if desired, have a negative impact on safety.
Ease of Cleaning
Sealed and polished concrete is one of the easiest floors to clean and maintain. We offer consultation and training with our clients after the project is complete to help train them to handle daily maintenance.
Warranty
We provide a 1-year warranty covering our installation. With concrete polishing, since nothing is being applied to the floor to significantly augment what already exists, we offer a job satisfaction guarantee, but no warranty.
Appearance
If concrete is in good shape, polishing, staining or “Grind and Seal” applications can provide a very appealing and modern flooring system. We can customize the application to the needs of the facility and client to provide the best solution for you.
Flexibility
Concrete is not really flexible. If high impact is a constant reality in a facility, we recommend a coating. Certain versions can be up to 4 times the hardness of regular concrete and more resistant to high impact.
Durability
Concrete is very durable and resistant to normal wear and tear, however as a basic rule, concrete is not very chemically resistant. Application of sealants can improve chemical resistance.
Cost Effective
Coating, sealing or polishing concrete is usually one of the least expensive flooring options. The trade off in this regard is that if the concrete is in very poor shape, it is difficult to improve the overall look. Thus, we offer coating options that visually improve the appearance of your floor.

After moving into our new home, we decided to have the garage floor coated to increase the concrete’s life span and enhance its appearance. We purchased these floors because the wax that had been used to refinish our floors previously was too soft. The titanium powder we use in our manufacturing process was grinding into that wax and causing the floors to turn black within just a couple months of refinishing. Since installing the InstaSHIELD, we have not seen ANY signs of powder being ground into the flooring after about 2 months. Cleaning spilled powder is now as simple as sweeping and our lab floors have remained relatively spotless. We have been very happy with the way the floor is performing. Thank you!
Our tile and grout had become extremely difficult to clean because of ageing. All efforts of restoration met with minor success. We wanted our floors restored to their original "new" appearance. Last fall my floors were in dire need of refinishing. My dilemma was that I did not have the time, energy or money to go through the process of an entire refinish. I was approached by Jay Dee and discovered they had a process which would provide a similar finish for a much more affordable price and less complications for me. The work was scheduled for a time that was convenient for me. Their technicians showed up when promised and worked very hard to get my floors looking beautiful again. They were very polite and respectful in our home and over a year later our floors still look shiny and new!
Maintaining an older building can create some unique challenges. For years we had issues with the appearance of our lobby floor. Jay Dee Inc. did a sample area for management to see. Jay Dee Inc. came to us with a new product to maintain our Terrazzo floor in our main lobby. It made it look like new and requires less maintenance. It only took one night and it still looks great months later. This floor is where deliveries come in and the main snowy traffic as well so I am really happy with our results and would recommend this to others needing the same solution.
